The Matrix WoolBack Pad with Ortho Impact® inserts is a high-quality western pad with an anatomical back line, high withers clearance and an underside of 100% shearling wool (WoolBack®).

Why the WoolBack Pad with Ortho Impact®?
A pad that thinks along: extremely light and breathable, plus exchangeable inserts that lie along the full length left and right of the spine and can be taken out via hook-and-loop closure. So the pad is machine washable and dryer-safe. The Ortho inserts combine an ultra-light 5 mm thin high-density layer with 12 mm open-cell breathable foam; according to the manufacturer they absorb 90% of impact energy. They are particularly suited to horses with deficits in back muscles, uneven muscle development or a saddle that temporarily does not fit properly. Matrix is the western pad brand of Toklat from the USA, known for pads with exchangeable inserts.
