Myler HBT-Shank MS.47 (Level 2-3): comfort bit by Myler (Level 2-3) with a wide barrel and copper inlays. The leverage bit has HBT cheekpieces of stainless steel (dimensions see data); used with a curb chain or strap it works on the bars, poll and chin.

Why Myler HBT Shank?
Myler bits are comfort snaffles and bits with a wide barrel and copper inlays; with us they come via the importer PFIMA. Level 2-3 (according to Myler): works mainly with pressure on the bars, poll and chin and only slight tongue pressure to reinforce the aids. Which level fits depends on the horse and its training – most horses can skip Level 1 and start with Level 2, 2-3 or 3. We are happy to advise you.

Key facts

How to use

  1. Before use, oil the hinges and joints between mouthpiece and cheekpiece on mouthpieces or cheekpieces of sweet iron so that no moisture gets in.
  2. After use clean the bit thoroughly – your horse will appreciate a clean bit the next day.
  3. Do not oil a wet bit, otherwise the moisture is sealed in.

Our tip
Have your horse's teeth and mouth checked regularly and choose level and mouthpiece to suit training and mouth.

Good to know
The bit does not replace expert instruction – ask a trainer or vet if in doubt.
